Silk Dyeing and Sustainability

A scientific review paper titled Dye Fed Silkworms to Produce Naturally Coloured Silk Cocoons was published in the Taylor and Francis Journals during the month of March 2021.

This paper discussed synthetic dyes’ various properties that facilitate the absorption of maximum dye into silk fibers. The paper includes a review of the already existing papers on dye-feeding silkworms and organizes the information with detailed scrutiny. It produces a set of clear and conscience list of physical and chemical properties to look for in synthetic dyes for the most effective dyeing process using the feeding method.
